Kekkilä Potting Soil is a specialized soil mix for balcony and potted plants, suitable for growing all types of plants. The soil is made from the finest raw materials to make caring for your plants as easy as possible. The moss mixed into the soil increases its aeration, and the moss’s good water retention facilitates watering. To ensure optimal growth, the potting mix is enriched with Kekkilä Juurejõud, a humus blend that accelerates root development, and biochar, which promotes the release of nutrients from the soil. Pour a 2–5-centimeter-thick layer of Kekkilä Potting Gravel into the bottom of the pot or planter. Fill the pot with Organic Potting Soil and make a hole in the soil that is slightly larger and deeper than the root ball. Carefully loosen the plant’s root ball and plant the plants. Cover the roots with soil. For large outdoor pots, it is recommended to use plenty of potting gravel—this makes the pots easier to move. Fill the bottom of a large pot with Kekkilä Potting Gravel and the remaining 30–40 cm with Kekkilä Organic Potting Soil. Lightly firm the soil so that the plants do not sink too deep into the pot. Leave a small space at the top for watering to allow the water to be absorbed more easily. Water the planting thoroughly so that the entire soil is completely moist. During the growing season, Kekkilä Organic Liquid Fertilizer is suitable for fertilizing.
