The Electrolux Formax series EWH 50 water heater, which features the unique and reliable X-Heat system with two independent “dry” heating elements. What makes this system special is that the heating elements have no direct contact with water. The heating elements are housed in special metal casings attached to a flange at the bottom of the tank. This design prevents scale buildup, allows the unit to operate at half power, saves electricity, and significantly extends the service life of the heating elements. Even if one heating element fails, the other continues to operate, ensuring you have hot water regardless of the circumstances. Thanks to the X-Heat “dry” heating element system, there is no need to disassemble the water heater for maintenance or repairs.
The
electronic control panel is located on the bottom cover of the water heater. It features buttons that allow you to set the desired water temperature between 30 and 75 °C. Thanks to the use of modern technologies, Electrolux Formax series water heaters can be installed both vertically and horizontally, allowing for optimal installation even in small spaces. The Formax series water heaters also feature an Eco mode, which heats the water to a maximum of 55 °C. It has been established that at this temperature, the service life of the heating element is extended, the water is disinfected, and limescale buildup is virtually eliminated. The internal tank’s multi-level corrosion protection is ensured by the 4-level Protect Tank system:
1. A special, ultra-strong metal alloy resistant to corrosion.
2. An ultra-strong and elastic enamel protective layer on the inner tank.
3. A high-mass magnesium anode that traps and neutralizes corrosion particles.
4. A safety valve with a drain function that protects the unit from overpressure in the tank. The water heater is also equipped with an overheating protection system and a ground fault circuit interrupter, which ensure additional safety during use.
A 22-mm-thick layer of polyurethane foam is used for the unit’s thermal insulation—an environmentally friendly, CFC-free material installed using special high-pressure technology. It is safe for both the environment and human health, has excellent thermal insulation properties, and minimizes heat loss and energy consumption.
