Inkarnaat- e kahkjaspunane ristik on üheaastane ristik, mis erineb teistest ristiku liikidest oma dekoratiivsuse poolest. Kasvatatakse ilu- ja meetaimena, sobib ka vahekultuuriks. Vahekultuurid aitavad parandada mullaviljakust ja vähendada umbrohtumust ja haigustekitajaid. Lisaks seovad liblikõielised kultuurid tänu juuremügarais olevatele mügarbakteritele ka õhulämmastikku ja rikastavad niiviisi mulda lämmastikuga. Pilkupüüdvate karmiinpunaste õienuttide tõttu sobib ka erinevatesse lilleniidu segudesse. Meelitab aeda nii mesilasi kui ka liblikaid. Taime kõrgus on 40-100 cm. Ilulillena ja meetaimena kasvatamiseks külvatakse kevadel (mais), kui külvata hiljem peale saagikultuuri (august-september), siis ei jõua enam õitseda. 300 g piisab 200 m² külvamiseks.
